Your first visit

Arrive 15 minutes before your booked time — on your first visit only. After that, on time is on time.

Minute by minute

  1. 0You arrive. Mint asks where you’d like us to focus. Not “how many hours”.
  2. 2One sheet of paper — where it hurts, any conditions, any allergies.
  3. 4Hot lemongrass tea. Wait in the garden or the front room.
  4. 6Your feet are washed. Everyone, every time, whatever you booked.
  5. 10Into the room. You change. The therapist knocks before entering.
  6. 12The therapist asks for a pressure from 1 to 5, and where not to touch.
  7. 15It starts.
  8. It ends on time. Nobody asks you to extend.
  9. +5Hot ginger tea. Sit for as long as you like.
  10. +10Pay at the desk. The price is the one on this website.

PaymentCash, PromptPay QR, and Visa/Mastercard with no surcharge.

The house rules

All of them, written down, so that nobody has to guess.

Nothing is sold here
A therapist may not offer an extension, a course or a membership while you are on the mat. If one does, tell the front desk and that session is free.
No tip is expected
Tips that are given are pooled and split evenly. There is no tip line on the receipt and no envelope on the tray.
The time you booked is the time you get
We hold your room for 15 minutes. Later than that and we still massage you, but the session ends when it was going to end, because the next guest’s does not move.
The room is yours
Change the pressure, the temperature, the scent, or ask for quiet, at any point. You are not being difficult.
Cancelling
Free until 3 hours before. Inside 3 hours we ask for half. A no-show is charged in full. This rule exists to protect the therapist’s day.
Phones
On silent in the rooms. You are welcome to take a call in the garden.
Children
From 12, with a parent in the room. Under 16, foot reflexology only.
Walk-ins
Welcome when there is a room. 18:00–20:00 on weekdays is usually full.

What kind of shop this is

Baan Sabai is a health-massage establishment. Every therapist holds a certificate of at least 150 hours in Thai therapeutic massage. We offer nothing that is not on the services page. If anything else is requested, the session ends immediately and is charged in full. We write this here so that nobody has to ask.

This site is a design demo. The certificate, the figures and every other detail here are invented.

What we will not massage over

  • A fever
  • An open wound, or inflamed skin
  • Surgery within the last 6 weeks
  • A known blood clot, or severe varicose veins
  • The first trimester of pregnancy
  • Chemotherapy, without a doctor’s note

Tell the front desk. We will find something we can do instead, or refund you in full. You do not need to explain much.

The entrance: a carved teak name board, terracotta pots, a water jar and a small spirit house
A guest came once a month for seven years, then stopped. Three months later he walked back in, and the first thing he said to Mint was: “I changed jobs. I couldn’t change my massage place.”
This story is invented, like everything else on this site.
A good massage should not only exist inside a five-star hotel.
